I conceptualize and execute housing and land use policy research projects, bringing spatial analysis and quantitative methods to bear on questions of affordability and equitable development across California. I support UCLA faculty and graduate students with data collection, analysis, and mapping to advance ongoing research initiatives.

I researched local government responses to California’s statewide housing mandates, focusing on Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) and site selection under the Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) process. I evaluated and categorized housing element programs based on their potential to advance fair housing outcomes, and assisted faculty in writing and conceptualizing research papers and reports.

I cleaned and analyzed large datasets — including census and environmental quality data — and developed web maps and dashboards using ESRI’s ArcGIS platform to support the CalEnviroScreen team. Working with the Community Assessment and Research section, I evaluated new indicators for environmental health risk and proposed and tested methodology for assessing community exposure to oil and gas drilling for potential inclusion in CalEnviroScreen.

I served as project lead for multiple sixth-cycle housing element updates across SCAG, SANDAG, and ABAG regions, analyzing large parcel and zoning datasets to support housing site selection and program changes. I also contributed to comprehensive zoning code updates, community health and environmental justice conditions analyses, and facilitated public engagement through charrettes, surveys, and webinars for multiple cities.

I updated and maintained the city’s GIS database to support analytics and MS4 stormwater permit compliance. I ensured regulatory compliance by performing required field inspections and preparing documentation and reports.

I assisted professors with lecture and activity planning, discussion facilitation, and course management for a graduate public health course. I also handled technical setup and logistics support, helping maintain a structured and engaging learning environment.

I taught water quality, conservation, and ecology to students from Title 1 schools, engaging youth, teachers, and community members in developing environmental awareness. I also assisted in documenting and evaluating participant satisfaction and program effectiveness.

I managed sound, video, and lighting for a wide range of student and professional events hosted across UCSD venues. I supervised and trained new employees on equipment operation, event procedures, and safety protocols.

I coordinated talent, attractions, marketing, staffing, and facilities for the UCSD Sun God music festival, communicating with campus administrators on safety plans and event logistics. I also supervised planning for an interactive art exhibition held alongside the festival.
